Facets of Wellness Therapy

“Facets of Wellness” represents the many pieces that make up our feelings of wellness.

Although mental health diagnoses offer us a lot in the ways of giving us labels, definitions, peer reviewed intervention models, and a way to substantiate insurance payment…

I aim to help you both understand and shed these labels by helping you to de-pathologize our experiences as homo sapiens in our current society and structure.

(What the hell does that mean?)

What we often think of as “mental illness”, is our nervous system working diligently to adapt to our ever-evolving culture and societal structures based off what it has learned thus far. We are in an evolutionary mismatch to our current environment.

(What does that have to do with my mental health?)

When we break down our situations, our narratives, our environments, and our traumas, it often makes perfect sense why we feel “bananas.”

(I don’t like saying crazy)

What I want to teach you is far from “woo woo” and it’s also not generic.

(although I love a good holistic intervention and breathing can sometimes help)

We are going to CREATE the skills based on evolutionary psychology, polyvagal theory, somatic interventions, and YOU.

I not only want to teach you hacks to function and feel how you want, but I strive to help you understand WHY.

I want to help you figure out how to pick up the pieces in your life,

and craft something that resonates with you.
